LGBT+ Futures Programme: Intersections Fund
We are very excited to announce a new small grants funding opportunity that opens to applications today (Monday 3rd February). Thanks to the generosity of an individual Donor, Consortium will be distributing a total pot of £20,000 in grants.
Applications will be open to LGBT+ non-profit groups, organisations and projects that support and improve the lives of LGBT+ people of faith, LGBT+ people of colour and LGBT+ women in recognition of the underrepresentation and higher levels of marginalisation and discrimination faced by these members of our communities.
Applications can be for any amount up to a maximum of £5,000 but it should be noted applications above £2,500 will be exceptional. We are keen to maximise this funding and fund as many viable projects as possible, so we expect the average grant amount awarded to be in the region of £500-£2,500.
Applications are now open and will close at 5pm on Monday 2nd March 2020. More details can be found here: www.consortium.lgbt/grantgiving/lgbt-futures-intersections-fund

Happy Queermas
Stonewall Housing is the UK’s oldest LGBT+ specific housing support and advice service. They help over 1000 LGBT+ people a year access safer homes and spaces. They have 51 bed spaces (including a Trans only scheme) for people who have been made homeless as a direct result of their gender identity and/or sexuality.
Their Christmas text campaign – QUEERMAS – aims to get every service user living in one of their schemes a £10 gift voucher for Christmas. For their young people who have been rejected and isolated from their families and communities, Christmas is an even harder time than usual. Many of them wake up alone without friends or family, and rely on food banks or local charity Christmas meals to attend. We want to make sure everyone gets a little something to open this year.
It’s very simple to donate, just text the word QUEERMAS to 70085 to donate £10 to the appeal.
