At the beginning of 2020, we were excited to deliver a Grants Programme for diverse and unique organisations that make up the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans + (LGBT+) Sector.
Thanks to the generosity of an individual Donor, a total funding pot of £20,000 was made available to LGBT+ non-profit groups, organisations and projects that seek to include and support diverse LGBT+ people and communities that are underrepresented and/or subject to higher levels of marginalisation / discrimination.
As part of this programme, Consortium was particularly interested in funding locally based interventions that support and improve the lives of LGBT+ people of faith, LGBT+ people of colour (PoC), and LGBT+ women.
At the beginning of 2021, we were excited to deliver a further Grants Programme for diverse and unique organisations that make up the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans + (LGBT+) Sector.
Thanks to further generosity of an individual Donor, and the success of the previous Intersections Fund, an additional funding pot of £20,000 was made available to LGBT+ non-profit groups and organisations that are led by and for:
- LGBT+ people of faith
- LGBT+ people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnicities and LGBT+ people of colour*
- LGBT+ women
- Older LGBT+ people
- Disabled LGBT+ people
*We recognise the use of terms such as BAME/PoC reflect a diverse range of people and communities. We use it as inclusively as possible to reflect people from communities who experience racism.
