We are delighted to welcome Emma Travis-Neale (she/her) to the team in her new role as Grants Officer!

Emma joined Consortium in April 2024 and, as a Grants Officer, she works to administer all elements of the grant distribution process for our LGBT+ Futures: Equity Fund and to provide ongoing support to grantees during the lifetime of their grants.

Consortium adopts a Participatory Grant-Making process and Emma supports the Community Panellists to make informed decisions about each application. She is a passionate advocate for the LGBT+ community.

This would not be possible without the contributions of 72 London based LGBT+ organisations, who shared their challenges and visions.

We learned:

More than half (52.7%) of London’s LGBT+ organisations have an annual income of £10,000 or less.

Nearly 70% (68.9%) of London LGBT+ organisations are concerned about finding funding for core services in the next 12 months.

Almost 2 in 3 (58.1%) London LGBT+ organisations are fully run by volunteers.

London LGBT+ organisations exist in an unprecedentedly challenging time and require long-term investment and sponsorship from within and beyond our sectors.

We are stronger when we share our experiences, knowledge and dreams, and we hope that this report will be useful both for LGBT+ organisations building cases for support, and those who seek to invest into London’s LGBT+ sectors.
