Ley joined Consortium in November 2021 as our Equity Fund Project Officer to support community-led LGBT+ organisations working across key intersectional, equity issues and now works as our Participation Lead developing that work further.
Having previously worked for a domestic abuse charity in aftercare, recovery, early intervention, prevention, and outreach services, she oversaw volunteering projects including campaigning and skill-based workshops.
Ley is an ambassador for Chatham House’s Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs, supporting shaping the program’s engagement with young voices, especially LGBT+ communities and women. She was recently a mentee in the Equal Power Equal Voice public life mentoring programme as part of the Women’s Equality Network Wales cohort.
Ley is passionate about self-care and wellbeing. Implemented as staff rep at her previous job and as a student mentor at her university, she values a person-centred approach and collaborative working.
Ley lives in South Wales with their partner and two snails Bo and Bonnie. She loves spending her weekends baking cakes and running on local trails and loves even more to bring cake on her runs! She is an advocate for joyful movement and breaking down pressures and expectations of exercise.
