Nominate your volunteers in our first ever Volunteer Awards!
It goes without saying that the LGBT+ sector would not be where it is without all the volunteers sharing their passion, energy and time to support their communities. Volunteering keeps our communities going, and Volunteers Week is a week when we recognise and celebrate the contributions from LGBT+ volunteers all over the UK.
Enter your volunteers into these three categories:
- Fundraising
- Community Engagement (for example frontline support)
- Operations (for example Trustee boards, admin support etc)
Category winners will each receive a £50 voucher. And an overall winner will receive a £100 voucher!
Please use the form below to make your entries.
Deadline to submit your nominations: 21st May 2023

Whether you are creating a volunteering programme from scratch or updating an existing one, there are some essentials that you need to think about and put in place before you start to recruit people.
Previous Volunteer: "Burnout can be tricky to navigate when we don't have healthy boundaries. Setting and maintaining boundaries with others protects our mental health and well-being. When we have those main factors in place, we can achieve so much more as it comes from a space of fulfilment rather than from a place of burnout".

Please tell us why your volunteers deserve to win!
Use the form below to submit up to 400 words OR a 2 minute video and you can include photographs if you would like to.
We are focusing the awards on celebrating volunteer 'teams' rather than singling out an individual within your volunteer team, but if you are small group with just one volunteer, please do still nominate them! (and just make this clear in your submission).
When deciding what to include in your nomination - imagine we're reading out the nomination as the winning pitch...think Oscars!
You might like to include:
- Why they deserve to win
- What impact they have had on your organisation and / or community
You can enter all three categories (a separate submission is required for each category) or you could enter just one or two categories, depending on the volunteer roles within your organisation.
- Fundraising
- Community Engagement (for example frontline support)
- Operations (for example Trustee boards, admin support etc)
