Witney Pride is a community organisation in West Oxfordshire formed to provide visibility, educate and celebrate LGBTIQ+ people and their allies.

Witney Pride held it’s first Pride Picnic 25th May 2019. Windrush Radio entertained and the West Oxfordshire Fire Service incorporated safety information with fun games for both adults and children. Throughout the year various events are held including Halloween parties, Pub Quizzes and film screenings. A private online social group for over 18’s is where people can make friends, join in with games and post articles of interest. Further development of this online community during the pandemic, with additional online events, helped to reach out to those isolated by distance or circumstance. The Witney Town Council flies a rainbow flag during Pride.

Witney Pride continues

  • to involve local performers/bands/acts as much as possible
  • to be available to and supportive of the local LGBTQIA+ community
