WAY Widowed and Young

WAY is a UK charity that offers a peer-to-peer support network for anyone who’s lost a partner before their 51st birthday – married or not, with or without children, inclusive of sexual orientation, gender, race and religion. WAY’s LGBTQ+ community is wide and varied. With over 500 of our 4500 members identifying as LGBTQ+ you’ll find a host of members that are going through the same as you.

At a local level, WAY is run by a network of 160 volunteers spread out across the UK who have all been widowed themselves, so they understand how it feels. We have a network of Area Contact volunteers spanning over 62 home groups who welcome new members and organise events at a local level.

Services include;

  • Access to a community of young widows who understand how it feels to lose a partner.
