Stanton Hill Community Help Centre

We are a LGBT+ organisation with qualified officers, who listen, help, direct and advise. We organise group sessions twice a week and offer one to one consultations.

We are linked to numerous local schools 16+, who send us teenagers who are struggling with their sexuality, parents not aware and in total fear of coming out.

We are professional, discrete, and compassionate. Our aim is to offer sessions with the person coming out and then (if desired) include the rest of the family in this persons decision to come out in a safe way. We also give tips on how to expect their family and friends may react- and how to give the people around them time to adjust.

We have the only trained LGBT+ officers in Ashfield to counsel the people and their families in these situations.
