Staffordshire Sexual Health Charity was formed in 2020 to replace Staffordshire Buddies, an HIV charity that was started in 1995. The charity now focuses on generalised sexual health and LGBTQ+ issues.

Services we offer include: Training on LGBTQ+ and STIs for schools and businesses, free person-centred counselling, support groups, LGBTQ+ friendly accreditations for businesses and a Trans Mentor Scheme.

The Trans Mentor Scheme is run for trans people, by trans people. It helps with practical questions (eg. name changes) and emotional difficulties.

The charity is also running a pilot scheme in Staffordshire prisons. This scheme looks at teaching the prisoners about STIs and LGBTQ+ difficulties and setting up support groups in the prisons.
