Regard was established in 1989 with the following aims:

  • to provide information, advice and support to LGBTQI+ disabled people; to raise awareness of disability issues within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and queer (LGBTQI+)communities;
  • to raise awareness of LGBTQI+ issues within the disability communities; to campaign on issues which specifically affect LGBTQI + disabled people; and
  • to combat social isolation among LGBTQI+ disabled people.

We do not offer advice or support on a professional basis. We operate as a self-help group drawing on our members experiences.
