A social for all LGBTQIA+ folk who love crafting in all its many forms!
Using craft to bring people together to combat loneliness and isolation for the queer community. We will welcome anyone who identifies under the broad queer and trans umbrellas and has an interest in all things craft.
As well as hosting a social, Queer Craft will have courses such as mending, beginners sewing and clothes alteration course for queer people, teaching lifelong skills to help them be able to wear clothes that fit their bodies properly and align with their gender identity. The course is financially accessible to all and will be a safe space for marginalised peoples to connect and learn skills. Offering skills and companionship to help fight gender dysphoria and provides a route to expression not available to so many queer people. Those who have attended the courses will continue to have access to machines and equipment at the weekly social for an affordable price with guidance on hand.
