QAF Space currently exists as an online community space operating as a Facebook group, Insta feed and – most of all – as a 24/7 Zoom room. The space exists to hold and support whatever activity the members would like to organise or host, and is gently administrated by Ess and Mall.

During the pandemic, the facebook group has grown from zero to over 500 members and the zoom room has hosted everything from cook-alongs to tarot groups to discussions on queer kinship and BDSM. QAF doesn’t curate or demand activity – it simply creates and holds space for the community to connect, create and communicate. Members join from the UK as well as internationally.

We welcome all LGBTQ+ folk and allies, however there is a gentle emphasis on space for queer AFAB, trans masc, trans femme and non-binary identities as we are underrepresented in Gay spaces. We aim to create a physical venue but for now we are holding space for our queer community during the ongoing lockdowns.
