Prism LGBTQ+

We provide a supportive safe-space environment for young people who either identify as LGBTQ+ or are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

At our sessions they have the opportunity to meet and socialise with other teenagers who are in similar situations to themselves so they can share experiences and hopefully feel less isolated. You can find out more about our weekly meetings here: https://prismlgbtq.org/about-us/

If required they can also speak to any of our volunteer mentors about problems they are experiencing so support can be given.

We also organise a number of activities for our young people both within and outside of our normal sessions. These include workshops run by specialist organisations on topics such as drug/alcohol abuse, sexual health and dealing with homophobic or transphobic hate crime. We also facilitate excursions to the Pride festivals within our region.
