Out in the Forest is the London Borough of Waltham Forest’s LGBTQIA+ employee network.

We aspire to be a diverse group of colleagues who promote the interests of LGBTQIA+ colleagues (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, as well as any other sexualities and gender identities).

Our work mainly involves informal peer support, hosting awareness events and overarching scrutiny of council policy and practice. However, we also arrange fun social events for colleagues at the council, including movie and coffee mornings for our members to socialise and meet new colleagues who they might not otherwise meet.

Our network is open to Waltham Forest council staff who identify as LGBTQIA+.
