Oldham Pride is a newly organised group (Nov/2020) – seeking to resurrect the very successful Pride events in Oldham prior to 2019. We aim to be a focal point for the Community on our Pride Weekend (22-24 July 2022) and maintain a year-round presence online and in real-space, engaging with community groups, business, civic authorities and charities. We seek to encourage partnership working, support for isolated individuals and sign-posting to the diverse resources of our borough. We are setting up a monthly Social Group and engaging with many groups around Oldham and beyond.

Currently we are focused upon setting up an LGBT Archive with the Library Service, signposting to Sexual Health services (LGBT Foundation), encouraging LGBT youth services (Proud Trust), recognising the diverse needs of LGBT people of Faith and supporting the needs of older (50+) LGBT people. We are evolving as we consult members of the Community about their needs and dreams. This Year we plan a Queer Cabaret in Oldham Coliseum, a Parade & Open Air Stage with Community Stalls, Rolling entertainment at The George Tavern, a Picnic in Alexandra Park and a pride Service at Oldham Parish Church.
