LGBTQ+ Venue Forum

Safer Sounds has been commissioned by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to manage the LGBTQ+ Venue Forum for 2020/21.

During this time Safer Sounds will be consulting on the structure of the group and format of meetings – facilitating LGBTQ+ venues to create an independant organisation that represents their views and needs.

Safer Sounds will

• Facilitate meetings of the LGBTQ+ Venues Forum.
• Provide relevant administrative support (minutes of meetings etc).
• Provide advice and information to venues.
• Create resources to support venues e.g. fact sheets and checklists.
• Conduct regular outreach work with venues to stay abreast of current issues.
• Provide briefings and events (online and in person [post-lockdown]).
• Provide briefings and advice to the GLA.
• Manage and increase the number of signatories to the LGBTQ+ Venues Charter.
• Regularly communicate with LGBTQ+ Venues and promote the work that the forum does.
