Dumfries & Galloway Queerier

D&GQ is a grassroots community group. It is now in its third year and in the process of applying for charity status.

It is a creative collective run by and for the local LGBT+ community in Dumfries and Galloway, publishing a periodical magazine in print and online which is distributed locally. It runs workshops and socials, creating a network of LGBT+ creatives, from young people and college students, to older members of the community, seasoned professionals and mentors.

The aim of this endeavour is to provide opportunities for training, support, workshops, networking, work experience and creative portfolio / byline credits for LGBT+ people, to ultimately increase the employability, competency, resilience and skills of LGBT+ creatives in Dumfries and Galloway.
