Derbyshire LGBT+ Mission Statement “Providing high-quality services for LGBT+ people throughout Derbyshire” Aims
- To be the leading provider of services which improve the health and emotional wellbeing of individuals in Derby and Derbyshire who identify as LGBT+
- To be an advocate and the leading voice for LGBT+ people in Derby and Derbyshire
- To inform and educate on LGBT+ issues
- To provide emotional and practical support to LGBT+ people in Derby and Derbyshire
- To be the main infrastructure organisation supporting & representing LGBT+ groups & people in Derbyshire
LGBT+ – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender the ‘+’ is to include other gender identities and sexual orientations, including non-binary, intersex, asexual, pansexual, genderqueer and gender-fluid. In relation to the services provided by Derbyshire LGBT+ the + also includes families and friends (and significant others), and allies of LGBT+ people (SOFFAs). Values
