Blossom LGBT was founded with the intention to provide social spaces for LGBTQ+ people aged 18 to 25. We launched Blossom after the discovery that upon leaving youth services LGBT+ people may struggle to access adult services and build supportive like-minded networks. It is the belief of Blossom LGBT+ that everybody deserves the opportunity to access a safe and supportive environment where they can flourish whilst being their authentic self! Blossom has since grown to provide services which fall into; Social, Education, Liberation.

Expand your social circle! We’d love to see you. Grab a cuppa and come chat, the Blossom LGBT+ social groups are a fantastic way to meet new like-minded friends. It can be hard to find new friends when you’re a young adult, you feel too young for the all-ages social groups but you’re too old for youth groups. UGH – the awkward middle! That’s why we provide a weekly social space for LGBTQ+ young adults in Woking. Each week we have one main activity available, card games, and spaces to just chat. Each social group will have one activity designed to better the life skills of LGBTQ+ people as well as building their interpersonal skills.

We’re proud to bring you LGBTQ+ inclusive life skill classes! Ranging from Cooking to CV writing, Make-up to dancing! Unlike our regular social, our life skill classes welcome people of all ages but do not run on a reoccurring basis. Our Life skill and education classes are designed to focus on either employability (getting you into a good job!) or life skills (things you’ll use in your everyday life).

As an organization that predominantly works with supporting LGBTQ+ people, we’ve often inadvertently been involved with civil rights campaigning and efforts to improve the quality of life for LGBTQ+ people – We’ve decided to embrace this. Our liberation work spans from being involved with grassroots activism, using the platform that Blossom LGBT provides to work for positive change, to working with organization’s to ensure they know the correct way to work with us.
