BiPhoria

BiPhoria is the UK’s longest-running project working specifically with and for bisexual people.

Our main work is providing a social & support group for bisexual people – and those who think they may be bi.  Though the group main meetings are in Manchester, we have service users from across the North and sometimes further afield. The group meets regularly in a community centre in the middle of the city, and have other social meet-ups between the main monthly group sessions.

We produce publications including Getting Bi In A Gay / Straight World (more than 20,000 copies distributed so far and reprinted in at least 3 other countries and translated into Spanish), one on Bisexuality & Mental Health, and a bisexual needs assessment for Manchester, the Bi Life report. These can be downloaded from our website. We offer policy input on biphobia and bisexual inclusion to local and national government.

We also provide speakers and training including to local NHS services, universities and LGBT conferences, and have taken the pink, purple and blue bi flag along with our range of bi resources to Prides in Manchester, Oldham, Tameside, Bury, Stockport, Bolton, Levenshulme, Whalley Range, Blackpool, Carlisle, Liverpool and Chester.
