ATISA Theatre

ATISA_DP

ATISA is a research-based theatre company that works with migrant LGBTQ+ Filipino and Southeast Asian communities in the UK. Originally, the company was based in the Philippines providing community theatre workshops and performances in conflict areas in Southern Philippines.

ATISA artists are also members of Bahag-Hari UK, an LGBTQ+ Filipino migrant community in London. ATISA was founded by a trans-nonbinary refugee playwright and a political exile from Manila now living in London.

ATISA and Bahag-HariUK members are running a community of East and Southeast Asian theatremakers and enthusiasts called ‘The Pink Transcipt’, a program that documents the narratives of East and Southeast Asian LGBTQ+ communities in London through theatre.
