for stronger lgbt+ communities
We are delighted to confirm that we are pushing ahead with our plans for the first ever Arran Pride on 4th June 2022 and have made great progress with all the required planning and form filling etc. to ensure we have a safe, successful, fun-filled family event!
The programme entitled ‘Celebrate and Educate’ is:
The 11.05 Calmac Boat is being described as ‘The Arran Pride Boat’ and will bring our many friends, families and allies to our beloved island arriving at Brodick Pier at 12.00 where the Parade assembly area is on Market Road. SheBoom (Europe’s largest Female Drumming Band) will lead the Parade/Procession from Market Road along the Main Street starting at 12.30 (as the Boat departs) with various Charities along with other people and organisations and be followed by the Isle of Arran Pipe Band, to turn right in to the Invercloy (Wee Coop) car entrance and walk through the car park to the entrance to the Brodick Hall Park.
When we arrive at the Brock Hall Park we will have a free ‘bring your own-picnic in the park’ from 1 until 4pm with music and speeches and with low key information stalls and a ‘Library of People’ telling their individual stories inside the Brodick Library.
Later that day we are having a ticketed (£12/£8) fundraising Ceilidh in the Brodick Hall from 19:30 until 00:00 to help fund the day and also for future events and to celebrate-what we hope will be a great day?
We look forward to seeing you at the first ever Arran Pride helping us celebrate this landmark occasion and as close as we could get to the 50th Anniversary of the first ever Pride in 1972! Join us and join in!
