LJ joined Consortium in February 2022 as our Equity Fund Grants Officer to support community-led LGBT+ organisations working across key intersectional and equity issues. Previously, they worked in grants management for an international environmental policy project and for a grassroots anti-child trafficking charity in Ghana, building relationships with donors and implementing partners.

LJ is currently pursuing an MSc in Migration, Mobility and Development studies at SOAS University of London and is particularly interested in issues around trafficking and LGBT+ refugees. They hope to use their knowledge and skills to benefit communities traditionally underrepresented in refugee and anti-trafficking discourses.

LJ is involved in the London ice hockey community and is particularly passionate about inclusion in sport. On the weekends, you can find them on or near the ice or in the kitchen, undertaking an elaborate baking project.
