The specific role that we are looking to fill is a Treasurer. We would expect candidates to have some kind of financial/accountancy qualification or relevant professional background. We are small charity, with an aspiration of reaching £210k income this year. You will work with the Executive Director and other relevant Trustees and be responsible for:
- Financial Planning/Management/Reporting: Overseeing and monitoring the charity’s financial operations (including budgeting, periodic re-forecasting, financial reporting and ensuring proper financial controls are in place).
- Financial Policies: Working with HR and Executive Director to updating financial policies and procedures and ensure their effective and followed.
- Chairing the Finance and Risk Sub-Committee.
- Working with the Executive Director to help guide the organisation through the annual Independent Examiner process (and if we became large enough, our audit).
There are four Trustee board meetings a year with additional 4 Finance and Risk sub-committee meetings. (Approx. 12 hrs of meeting across a year plus other ways you might get involved).
