LGBT+ Futures Intersections Fund 2021: Grant Recipients

Intersections Fund (600p)

Thanks to the generosity of an individual Donor, and the success of the previous Intersections Fund, we have been able to distribute an additional funding pot of £20,000 for LGBT+ non-profit groups and organisations that are led by and for:

LGBT+ people of faith
LGBT+ people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnicities and LGBT+ people of colour*
LGBT+ women
Older LGBT+ people
Disabled LGBT+ people

*We recognise the use of terms such as BAME/PoC reflect a diverse range of people and communities. We use it as inclusively as possible to reflect people from communities who experience racism.

A full list of successful applicants is below.

Black Trans Foundation Expand

£1500 was awarded to Black Trans Foundation to help with the running and maintaining of a therapy service for black trans and gender-nonconforming people.

Colours Youth Network Expand

£1000 was awarded to Colours Youth Network for office equipment, and resources for the young people that use the service.

 

 

Deaf Cymru Pride (Deaf Hub Wales) Expand

£1000, for website development, to help support the deaf LGBTQIA community.

 

Deaf Rainbow UK Expand

£2000 for Deaf Rainbow UK, helping them to provide projects and services for deaf LGBT+ people in the UK.

 

Decoder Expand

£1000 was awarded to Decoder Arts for a program of art focused workshops, exhibitions and engagement for LGBTQIA+ women in Cornwall.

 

Feeling Queer CIC Expand

£1000 was awarded to help with funding for clinical supervision for staff, and to set up an online booking service for the disabled LGBTQI+ community to use to access support.

House Of Rainbow Expand

£2000 was awarded to support House of Rainbow's work with Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer individuals, people of faith and allies in order to create a safer and a more inclusive community.

 

 

 

Keshet UK Expand

£500 was awarded to Keshet UK to support work with schools, youth and young adult organisations, synagogues and wider Jewish communal organisations about the importance of LGBT+ inclusion, and to enable them to become more inclusive of LGBT+ people, through education and training.

Leeds LGBT+ Community Consortium Expand

£750 was awarded to Leeds LGBT+ Community Consortium for a winter programme of activities for older LGBT+ people.

Live Through This Expand

£1500 was awarded to Live Through This to help support LGBT+ people who have been affected by cancer.

 

Lez Talks (London International Lesbians) Expand

£2000 was awarded to help Lez Talks with recruitment and marketing of events for LGBT+ women.

 

Open Table Network Expand

£2000 was awarded to Open Table Network to support the training of volunteers/leaders within LGBTQIA Christian communities, to increase diversity.

 

 

 

Out in the City Expand

£750 was awarded to Out in the City for activities to support LGBT people over 50 years old.

Parapride Expand

£1500 was awarded to Parapride for inclusion and awareness work for LGBTQ+ people living with disabilities.

 

Let Voice Be Heard Expand

£1000 was awarded to Let Voice Be Heard to provide much-needed food and essentials for Bengali LGBTQ refugees and people seeking asylum who are living in East London.

 

 

 

Queer East CIC Expand

£1000 was awarded to Queer East for events and a film festival centred on stories and life experiences of East and Southeast queer Asians.

 

Scottish BAME Writers Network Expand

£1000 was awarded to Scottish BAME Writers Network for a LGBT+ QTIPOC writers group and zine.

 

The WOW Network (Women Out Work) Expand

£500 was awarded to the WOW Network for their website, social media and branding to help LGBTQ+ women in the workplace.
