Manchester Pride Grants

Funding priority

The Manchester Pride Community Grant programme supports two goals: ‘to celebrate LGBT+ life’ and ‘to engage LGBT+ people through culture,’ specifically in Greater Manchester.

Your application should detail how your community group, organisation, project, event or initiative can:

  • Improve, and enhance the wellbeing of LGBT+ people living in, working in and visiting Greater Manchester
  • Contribute to a thriving LGBT+ culture where people feel valued, accepted and engaged
  • Provide a safe, welcoming space that embraces diversity and challenges prejudice and discrimination
  • Educate the wider community about equality and diversity
  • Benefit all members of the community regardless of age, race, gender, religion and belief, disability, sex and sexual orientation (Marriage and civil partnership, Pregnancy and Maternity)

Who can apply

You must be a community/voluntary group or organisation who is making a positive lasting contribution to LGBT+ life in Greater Manchester and/or you are working towards an event/initiative/project that engages LGBT+ people through culture.

They will fund formally constituted not-for-profit organisations, groups and statutory bodies. This might include sports groups, voluntary organisations, local charities and community interest groups.

Grant details

They will provide funding towards specific costs for the ongoing running of a community group for example, equipment, kit, printing costs, venue hire*, etc.

They will provide funding to cover the costs of specific elements in the delivery of a project/initiative or event specifically for LGBT+ people.

Grants from Under £500 – £2,000.

  1. Small (£1 - £10,000)

Smaller grants (up to £500) will be fast tracked and you should hear the outcome within 14 days
