Who can apply
They will consider applications from registered charities, organisations and projects based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You need to operate locally rather than nationally.
For the 'Health' category they look to provide core funding to organisations with an annual fundraising income of below £250,000. However, they will look at capital projects, such as equipment purchases or building works irrespective of the annual fundraising requirement.

They do not fund:
- Arts/Heritage
- Conservation/Environment
- Expeditions and overseas travel
- Individual and sports sponsorship
- Mainstream able-bodied sport (we will consider disabled sports projects)
- Medical research
- Organisations in the health and wellbeing sector with fundraising levels above £250,000 (they will however consider capital projects)
- Promotion of religion

Grant details
They will consider:
- Single awards for capital projects (building / equipment / renovation)
- Grants for core funding to include staff costs.
- Ongoing running costs for specific projects
The type, size and time period of the award is decided on the basis of the perceived ‘difference’ that their support will make to the organisation, to the project and to the targeted beneficiaries. However, most grants are under £10,000 with the majority being under £5,000.
