Islamophobia Awareness Month was founded in 2012. At the end of this month, three of our volunteers will be having a panel discussion about the impact of Islamophobia. They will be sharing their lived experience of being LGBTQ+, Muslim and people of colour.
Please note that we may be discussing triggering or difficult topics. Be sure to take care of yourselves, and remember:
Hidayah means “guidance” in Arabic. We are a charity dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of LGBTQ Muslims and committed to social justice. We aim to educate against prejudice, discrimination and injustice, all the while providing a space for queer Muslims to meet each other and share experiences.
Questions? Concerns? Ideas? We’d love to hear from you. Please email our Programmes Officer, Deenah, on: [email protected].
See you there, insha Allah!
