Pride in London

The parade march commemorates the past 50 years and our evolution as a movement; acknowledging those torch bearers who have come before us and their achievements. As we celebrate and look forward to the next 50 years, we’ll recognise the challenges still faced by our community nationally and globally.

Participation in the parade march gives the opportunity for expression of celebration, joy and triumph but also the voice to rightly express the continued fight for those injustices and inequalities that exist amongst us.

Why does HouseProud take part?

By working together across the housing sector, we have highlighted issues facing LGBT+ residents in social housing and sought to address these through the HouseProud pledge . For LGBT+ people working in social housing we have provided training and networking opportunities.

We take part in London Pride to demonstrate the commitment of the housing sector to work together in supporting the LGBT+ community in its full diversity. The event is #AllOurPride and we want to show #Housing Matters.

Pride Picnic

On the day meet your fellow participants at 1.30pm for the Pride picnic at Hyde Park. We are meeting at Reformer’s Tree, in Hyde Park, shown below under the arrow. The nearest tubes are Green Park, Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch.

When you arrive you will be given your Pride T-Shirt, wristband and Pride pack. We will also have music, face-paints, hair chalk & glitter to help you get into the Pride spirit.
