The day will begin with welcomes and a keynote address from our guest speaker.
We will start the AGM by hearing from our Incoming Chair of Trustees, Yatin Mistry (he/him), and his motivations for taking the role.
Next we will hear reports from our Outgoing Chair of Trustees, Treasurer and Chief Executive Officer. We will also hear any questions from Members.
In-line with the conference theme of ‘History in the Making’, we have an exciting line-up of workshops and discussions for members to choose from, that cover a broad range of topics all linked to Consortium's Strategic Plan.
The workshops and discussions will be delivered across three sessions, and you can find out more about them by clicking to expand any of the titles below. You will also find links to register for the sessions you are interested in streaming.
*Please note that each workshop is an hour long, so make sure you only register for one workshop per session.
Workshop & Discussion Session 1: 13:30 - 14:30
Collaborations
Join House of Rainbow and Living Free UK as they discuss their experiences of collaboration, and facilitate group discussions to inspire you to think about how your organisation can build collaborations and partnerships.
Join us for an introduction to the essentials of managing crisis communications in your organisation, including an opportunity to begin developing your own crisis communications plan.
What can bigger LGBT+ organisations do to ensure that they are sharing their spaces and platforms with grassroots groups in their communities? Hear from Members large and small about how they built these relationships and collaborations, and the positive results that they've had.
Join Galop and TransActual in a panel conversation where they will share stories about their work on influencing decision-makers, policies and statutory guidance on a local, regional and national level.
We'll hear from Members supporting older members of our LGBT+ communities about the work that they do and the ways in which other groups can best reach out to and engage older LGBT+ folks.
Drop-in Surgery with Consortium Trustees and Team Members
A member opportunity to get to know Consortium’s Team and Trustees a bit better. Come along and ask questions, find out more about their areas of work and speak to them about your own work. This will be an open space rather than a structured workshop.
In this session we will hear from members in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, about the state of the LGBT+ sector in the Devolved Nations, what the current priorities are and learn from examples of collaboration, external comms and influencing decision-makers.
We will be joined by Scott, Director of The Rainbow Project in Northern Ireland, Davinia, Director at Stonewall Cymru, and Mhairi, Chief Executive at LGBT Youth Scotland.
