ROLE TITLE: Social Group Facilitator.
REPORTS TO: Social Group lead.
WORKPLACE: Woking Town Centre.
HOURS: Tuesday Evenings 6.30pm until 8.30/8.45pm.

As a Social Group Facilitator, you will help to make the social group a welcoming space to all members and ensure our peer-to-peer support group sessions (social groups) run smoothly. You’ll work with the group lead to facilitate session activities. These vary from week to week but can include drawing, painting and cooking. You will support members as they build life skills, resilience and strong support networks. You’ll also help members develop their personal and professional skills in line with their needs. Most importantly, you’ll be a friendly face to talk to each week.

Due to the nature of our groups it is very hard to pinpoint exactly what you will be doing on a session by session basis. Volunteers facilitate the activities we host, that may be cooking one week, dancing the other or just chatting. Each session we will discuss the activities and figure out what will work best for you, our goal is to let you do whatever it is you do best.
