Galop Launch a New Survey to Understand the Nature of Abuse Experienced by LGBT+ People in Central Bedfordshire

Galop, the LGBT+ anti-violence charity, have just launched an online survey to understand the extent and nature of abuse from family members or partners experienced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT+) people in Central Bedfordshire.

The survey can be accessed here: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GalopCentralBeds

Care has been taken to approach topics sensitively and include support resources throughout it.

The results from this survey, along with other stages of this project, will help to understand the needs and support requirements of LGBT+ people in the area, ensuring that LGBT+ voices are considered in future local service provision and commissioning.

Your support will help to ensure that the voices of all LGBT+ victims and survivors are included and represented. Our community is diverse, and it is vital that the results reflect that. If you have any colleagues or professional contacts in the Bedfordshire area, it would be appreciated if you could share this survey with them and ask them to spread the word locally.

It is appreciated that filling in the survey may bring up difficult emotions and thoughts. If help and support are needed, please don’t hesitate to call the LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Helpline 0800 999 5428.
