Outcomes Based Thinking

This one-hour webinar is for practitioners and organisations who have no or limited experience of outcomes-based thinking. It aims to help attendees understand how they can identify the changes that they want to achieve as a result of their work and effectively communicate this to others.

The workshop will help attendees to:

  • Understand what funders, commissioners and evaluators mean by terms such as ‘outcomes’ and ‘impacts’.
  • Learn about the theory of change methodology – a widely accepted and systematic approach to guiding outcomes-based thinking and planning – and how it can be used to think through and describe the difference you to make through your work.
  • Understand how theories of change can also be used to improve your organisational strategy, project management and/or approaches to monitoring and evaluation

Finally! I actually understand the difference between outputs and outcomes!

I attended the live webinar 'introduction to Outcomes' and it was really really helpful!

The toolkit was really easy to use.

We worked through the toolkit as a team and have now developed our draft fundraising plan ready to go to committee!

I have been sucessful with my first funding bid!

I attended the Fundraising from Grant Makers (live) webinar and I would say it’s given me the confidence to just apply for stuff.  I had no experience in bid writing and now I just received my first £1,000 grant!
