So you want to add your voice to the thousands of others who think that trans people, including non-binary and gender diverse people, of all ages, abilities, and from all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic and faith backgrounds, should be able to live their lives just like everyone else. That's great!

For this campaign to be successful, we need to spread the message far and wide.

We really appreciate your support in sharing this campaign. We have developed a series of digital postcards for social media channels and ideas for personalised content. You can use these to start conversations with people around you, particularly those who aren't LGBT.

We are using the hashtag #TogetherWithTrans for social media, so please post why it's important to stand with trans people, and how you're doing so.

Every time you share content or messages about the together. campaign, we would really appreciate if you could include our website address (www.togetherlgbt.com) so that others can find out how to get involved.

Thank you for being involved.

Social Media Images

Below are the key images that you can share on social media. When you find one that works for you, click on it and copy it to your clipboard.

If you're trans, say how the image applies to you. If you're an ally, then say why it's important that we respect everyone's safety and dignity.

Safety at School Collapse

Do you think every child should be safe at school?

64% of trans pupils experience transphobic bullying at school.

Together we can make sure that school is a safe place where all children are free to learn.

Young People Safe from Harassment and Violence Expand

Do you think every young person deserves to be safe from harassment and violence?

13% of trans young people experience physical abuse at school.

Together we can ensure all young people are safe from harm.

Young People Safe to be Who They Are Expand

Do you believe all children and young people should be safe to be who they are?

51% of trans young people (aged 11-19) have been bullied at school for being trans.

Together we can let everyone know they are loved and accepted.

Dignity at Work Expand

Do you think everyone should be treated with dignity in the workplace?

36% of trans people have left a job because the environment was unwelcoming.

Together we can make sure everyone has the dignity at work they need to succeed.

11% of trans employees have lost a job in the last year because of being LGBT+. (LGBT in Britain: Work Report, 2018)

4% of white LGBT+ staff, 12% of black, Asian and minority ethnic LGBT+ employees and 9% of LGBT+ disabled people say they have lost a job in the last year because of being LGBT+. This means that trans disabled people and people who are trans and BAME are at greater risk of losing their job.
(LGBT in Britain: Work Report, 2018)

Safety at Home Expand

Do you think everyone should feel safe at home?

17% of trans and non-binary people currently feel unsafe where they are staying.

Together we can ensure everyone has a safe place to call home.

19% of trans people have faced domestic abuse from a partner in the last year (LGBT in Britain: Home and Communities, 2018)

11% of LGBT+ people have experienced domestic abuse, but this rises to 17% of LGBT+ people of colour, 15% of LGBT+ disabled people and 13% of bi people. This suggests that trans disabled people, bi trans people, and people who are BAME and trans are significantly more likely to experience domestic abuse from a partner.
(LGBT in Britain: Home and Communities, 2018)

Safety in the Community Expand

Do you believe everyone deserves to feel safe in their community?

37% of trans people experience verbal harassment.

Together we can make our communities safe for everyone.

Access to Safe and Inclusive Healthcare Expand

Do you believe everyone should be able to access safe and inclusive healthcare?

40% of trans people have experienced at least one negative experience when accessing or trying to access public healthcare services.

Together we can change this.

32% of trans people have experienced unequal treatment in health settings.
(LGBT in Britain: Health Report, 2018)

Overall 13% of LGBT+ people have experienced unequal treatment, but 20% of LGBT+ disabled people and 19% of Black, Asian and minority ethnic LGBT+ people have experienced this.
This suggests that trans disabled people and people who are BAME and trans are likely to experience disproportionate discrimination in health services.
(LGBT in Britain: Health Report, 2018)

Safety in Public Spaces Expand

Do you believe everyone should be safe to use public spaces?

34% of trans people have been discriminated against when visiting a cafe, restaurant, bar or nightclub.

Together we can make public spaces safe for all.
