Lesflicks Film Hour – Live events with filmmakers and actors creating lesbian film!

11th April 2020 by LesFlicks

LESFLICKS IS PROUD TO BE CURATING THE FILM SEGMENT – 30 LIVE EVENTS AND MORE THAN 10 VIRTUAL WATCH PARTIES – WE WILL HELP YOU GET THROUGH THE NEXT FEW MONTHS! IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW HARD WE WORK FOR YOU – THIS ENTIRE SCHEDULE HAS BEEN PULLED TOGETHER IN LESS THAN 7 DAYS!

LGBTQI artists and businesses have been hit hard through show and events cancellations and also through being let go from casual work. Together we can support the arts and our LGBTQI community. The virtual festival provides the opportunity to help through financial donations, however small – whilst also providing you with essential access to community and events.

Without independent creatives, there would be no lesbian stories. Yes, every lesbian film you have ever seen is an independent film! We’re supporting independent creatives who have suddenly found themselves unable to work, and not earning – because by supporting them through this crisis they will be in the best position possible to keep creating the content you want to see!

Between 26 March and 31 May – over 120 events including Film, Literature, Live Music, Comedy and Cookery Classes! Film is just one segment, curated by Lesflicks with over 40 events; and there will be nearly 120 events across the whole festival!

PLEASE INVITE EVERYONE YOU KNOW – the success of this event lies with you – over 90% of the people involved are self-employed or casual workers and now not earning. However if we can support them we will see the benefit in the future through new content!
