A day long Conference for people running LGBT groups and charities to get practical support and information hosted by Consortium in partnership with Yorkshire MESMAC.
11am - 4pm on Saturday 14th March 2020. Central Leeds.
This conference will offer a range of practical workshops:
Show me the money!
A workshop exploring how to develop your group so that it is ‘fit for funding’ and how to write effective (and hopefully successful!) bids to grant makers. The workshop will also explore how to find and use evidence to build a strong case of need.
This workshop will look at how we use social media as individuals and as group leaders, how to create positive boundaries and understand how to use social media to the best of our advantages, while avoiding the pitfalls it often creates!
To understand the benefits of personal/professional profiles on social media
Demonstrating the difference your group makes
How do small groups and charities demonstrate the amazing impact they are having? This workshop explores how groups, no matter how small they are, can show the changes they are bringing about through their work.
Self-Care and Avoiding Burnout
A workshop to discuss the impact burnout has on us and our work as well as how we can recognise and avoid burnout (even in the work we do!). We discuss different tools and skills we can implement on how to prevent and burnout and take care of ourselves before burnout occurs.
Workshops will be delivered by Consortium and Yorkshire MESMAC. There will be lots of peer learning and networking opportunities and chances to talk about the work your groups are doing.
Refreshments and lunch are provided.
This event is open to anyone who works, volunteers or is a trustee for an LGBT+ Group.
A full agenda will be sent to all those registered several weeks before the event.
Consortium Members outside of Leeds can get help towards their travel to this event.
