Who are we?
Project Unity are a LGBT+, Peer-to-peer, support charity comprised of passionately, unique individuals from many different backgrounds who all share the common interest of developing a community of unity within South Wales valleys, based primarily in Aberdare.
It is very important for us to help to raise awareness within the community on the multiple different LGBT+ issues that in modern day society often seem to get swept under the rug and played down, for some reason or another.
What we do:
Within our community we have worked with individuals who have faced problems with hate crime and bullying, transphobia etc, and we have worked with different individuals to help them accept and embrace their identity by providing a loving and supportive environment in which there is no judgement and complete encouragement to be entirely themselves with no worry about how people will react.
We, at Project Unity, also work with various organisations within the area to plan and provide various open days within the community. As our name suggests we are passionate about this idea of unity and as such we feel it is important to unify with other LGBT+ groups as well as with separate individuals.
