ODL Banner

Opening Doors London provides services and support to LGBT+ people over 50.  We aim to ensure that LGBT+ people over 50 live happy, healthy and independent lives that are free from loneliness, prejudice and discrimination. We do this be providing:

  •  social opportunities
  •  a befriending service
  •  the ODL Rainbow Memory Cafe [support for people affected by dementia]
  •  intergenerational volunteerining opportunities

We also work with health and social care organisations to support their services becoming more older LGBT+ affirmative and welcoming. We provide a range of training on a wide range of issues related to working with older people from the LGBT+ communities – and a national quality standard –  Pride in Care – for organisations wanting to celebrate their inclusive services.
