Arcus is a community LGBT+ service; although we work with anyone from any background. Arcus provides the following:
Counselling:
Counselling is a confidential helping activity whereby through the use of active listening you are empowered to help yourself, face your issues and develop strategies for coping with them. Arcus prides itself on it’s short waiting lists and quick turn around from referral to first appointment.
Personal Student Therapy:
Personal therapy counselling service for students who are currently studying a counselling course and require personal therapy as mandated as part of their course requirements.
Clinical Supervision:
Clinical supervision is required by all counsellors whether still in training or qualified. It is often mandated by their governing body such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy or National Counselling Society, it ensures that they continue to work safely and within the bounds of their ethical framework.
LGBT + Education:
High quality LGBT+ education around LGBT+ culture and life; written by our service users and clients available to anyone; individuals or organisations.
We are a chargeable service, however we aim to keep the cost low, so our service is as accessible as possible.
