Martin joined Consortium in 2017. He worked alongside one of our members LGBT HERO to produce a digital mapping tool of all the LGBT+ services across London. You can learn more about the project here.
Martin is also the main point of contact for our London Members. He currently coordinates all of our London work and projects and leads the development of the LGBTIQA+Recovery Plan for London. He enjoys meeting and supporting the diverse range of groups and organisations in the capital.
He has vast experience in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), particularly advocating for Comprehensive Sexuality Education and LGBT+ rights. He remains actively involved in different international activist groups and consults multilateral agencies and stakeholders on youth engagement and equality and diversity.
Martin is a Board member and chair of the Global Youth Steering Committee at ILGA World. He was recently selected as the Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations and appointed by the UNFPA ED to a High-Level Commission tasked with keeping 1600 commitments made at the Nairobi summit on women and youth's rights being met.
Martin is from Bulgaria, from a mixed-faith/ethnic minority family and the first in his family to go to university. In his spare time, Martin enjoys doing yoga, cooking new cuisines, scriptwriting, and travelling when possible.
