X2Y LGBT+ Youth Group is seeking a Youth Worker 4 hours per week @ £12.64 per hour (12:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays + one hour to suit).

The successful applicant for this post will be someone who:

• has experience of youth work.
• is well-motivated and able to work well as part of a committed team.
• has a good understanding of the challenges facing LGBTQ+ young people and can support them to make positive choices, gain confidence and value themselves and others.
• is committed to safeguarding young people and protecting them from abuse or neglect.

 

X2Y currently operates drop-in sessions in Wolverhampton City Centre on a Saturday from 12-3pm. It also provides text and social media support for LGBT young people, or any young person questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Our plans: our Saturday open access group is growing fast, so we are intending to expand our services by increasing the hours of our drop-in sessions and/or starting (a) weekday early evening group(s).
