Stonewall Housing has an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to LGBTQ+ people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Training Marketing Assistant is a new role within Stonewall Housing providing support to our training department in the marketing of training and promoting our 7 training products. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks which range from supporting the Director of training in designing the marketing strategy for the organisation, prioritising companies to target for marketing and ensuring that relevant contact is made- this may include telephone and email contact. You will be responsible for marketing the training portfolio and its products on social media platforms Twitter and LinkedIn. You will be responsible for working closely/ in partnership with the social media team and will need to follow their briefs/ branding guidelines. This post will also see you responsible for the input of data onto our CRM system and ensuring that it remains up to date. You will be responsible for supporting training’s marketing strategy and related activities. You will be responsible for monthly reports.
In this post you will be required to work from home up to 4 days per week and be expected to come into the office the rest of the time. You will be provided with the necessary equipment to work from home. You will need to be highly organised and able to review systems and processes, understanding them quickly and be able to implement them consistently. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to engage with colleagues across the organisation as well as service users and external partners. Ideally you will have experience of social media platforms Twitter and LinkedIn. You will ideally be a creative thinker with a design background. You will need to have good IT skills (Word, Office, Powerpoint Excel etc) and be able to use simple database software. Stonewall Housing will provide access to Learnest CIC, a specialist provider of Work Readiness and Career Development training who have developed a specific course for the Kickstart scheme. Young people will be provided with training in the following areas: – career planning, goal setting & understanding skills and strengths – CV & job application writing skills – Job Interview preparation & techniques – adapting to working life. Learnest CIC will provide a supporting manual/guide to compliment this training offer and facilitate opportunities for participants to talk to each other about their experiences across the scheme.
All young people will be provided with a robust induction which includes clear explanation of the role they are employed in, an overview of what support they can expect and what expectations there are of their basic work skills. Young people will be asked to rate their confidence in a variety of areas such as attendance, timekeeping, communication and team work etc. at the start of their placement. This induction will be for a minimum of 5 hours per placement.
Each young person will be provided with a direct line manager who will be responsible for setting clear expectations with regards to attendance, timekeeping and general employability skills. This line manager will meet regularly with the young person providing them with support and feedback with regards to their performance. This support will be provided throughout the job placement and will be for a minimum of 1.5 hours per month (more in the early stages).
