Are you The Proud Trust’s first Chief Executive?

From small beginnings The Proud Trust has grown into a £1 million charity with 700 service users (touching the lives of 5000 young people and adults each year through training) and a footprint extending beyond Greater Manchester across the North West region… and now potentially beyond. The ambition: to develop services across England.

The Proud Trust is the home of LGBT+ youth. They are a lifesaving and life-enhancing organisation that helps empower young LGBT+ people to make positive change for themselves and their communities. They do this through youth groups; one-to-one support; managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester; delivering training and events; campaigns; undertaking research and creating resources.

The Proud Trust’s base is a purpose built £2.4 million new build in Manchester city centre. From there, you’ll lead the charity acting as ambassador and spokesperson for the organisation. You’ll strengthen the organisation’s national reputation and profile as the leading voice for the future of LGBT+ young people, horizon scanning and developing opportunities in line with the charity’s vision and mission for the future.

  • Successful track record in a strategic leadership role within a relevant organisation that has experienced significant growth
  • Inspiring leader able to develop a team to deliver ambitious strategic objectives through collaborative and motivational leadership style
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and successful partnerships with external agencies, relevant stakeholders and funders
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate passiontaely and influence
  • Knowledge of business development and fundraising landscapes including how to generate leads, pipeline development and conversion
  • Understanding of the challenges and issues facing LGBT+ organisations, people and communities

 

Flexible, life and family-friendly organisation.
£48-58k salary
Permanent role, 37.5 hours per week
