LGBT Foundation is looking for a Policy Coordinator to lead our Community Organiser programme and make change for LGBT communities.

The post holder will:

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of our Community Organiser programme.
  • Oversee our responses to local, regional and national policy consultations.
  • Work with the Policy and Research Team to use our evidence to influence policy change.
  • Manage our online Evidence Exchange (our database of statistics and LGBT- focused research), and policy and research sections of our website.
  • Support the policy and research projects delivered by LGBT Foundation.
  • Input, analyse and report on internal and external data to help inform our policy agenda.

 

We are taking positive action to encourage applications from people of colour (PoC) and other racially minoritised communities, trans, non-binary and/or older people (aged 50+), to improve the representation of colleagues from these communities in our staff team.

* Trans is an umbrella & inclusive term used to describe people whose gender identity differs in some way from that which they were assigned at birth; including non-binary people, cross dressers and those who partially or incompletely identify with their sex assigned at birth.

Salary: £23,823
Hours: 37 per week
Special Terms: 2 years (subject to continuation funding)
Accountable to: Policy and Research Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To manage and lead the delivery of our Community Organiser programme.
  • To manage our responses to local, regional and national policy consultations.

  • To manage LGBT Foundation’s online Evidence Exchange (an online database of statistics and LGBT- focused research), and policy and research sections of our website.
