Are you interested in using or developing your research skills to support the work of the Opening Doors’ Research Team with a London-wide project examining poverty. We are looking for people who already have, or who are keen to develop their research experience to volunteer to support two projects looking into aspects of the lives of people over 50 from LGBTQ+ communities across London.
Duties will vary according to operational requirements but may include the following:
Desktop research, compiling directory of relevant LGBTQ+ organisations and groups and contacts.
Contacting and engaging with organisations via email and telephone.
Arranging mail outs of flyers and posters.
Helping participants complete surveys, on phone or in person.
Arranging in-person meetings for focus groups and interviews.
Carrying out face to face interviews
Helping to analyse data.
As implied above we anticipate that this could be a development role so if you need support and training around some of these skills, that would be provided.
