Not A Phase is the only charity in the UK which solely focuses on the support of trans+ adults. Not A Phase is seeking a Digital Engagement Officer who will be responsible for creating and delivering brilliant content, maximising impact and growing audiences across all digital channels. These include (but are not exclusive to) website, social media channels and email. 

Key Objectives

  • Create and deliver content across all our social media channels and website.
  • Full management of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit) and NAP website (Weekly blog post and monthly newsletter).
  • Launch NAP TikTok channel and further platforms as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the team to create and deliver content for all digital channels including graphics & video.
  • Day to day running of social media channels & website, including copywriting.
  • Create brand partnership content.
  • Generate monthly reports.
  • Drafting of the bi-monthly supporter newsletter and managing contact database.
  • Help to coordinate event calendars including key, culturally relevant dates, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Develop Not A Phase’s content beyond social media via the use of blogs, interviews etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brands.
  • Support the wider team with copy and content as required.
  • Attending events as required to gather content.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct the duties of the job description in accordance with the operational policies of NAP.
  • Embed a culture of accessibility and inclusion within all work.
  • Maintain good working relations across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the general administration and delivery of all programmes, events and overall objectives.
  • Manage own time effectively and ensure attention to detail at all times

This is an outline role description and may be subject to change in consultation with the post holder.

What we are looking for from you

  • Ideally two years or more of experience in the same or a similar role.
  • Proven experience of developing and delivering effective digital and social media strategies and campaigns to  maximise acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Substantial experience of writing and creating effective and compelling communications for external and internal audiences.
  • Understanding of the digital landscape, and emerging trends in web and social technology.
  • Understanding of the importance of storytelling and emotional connection to successful fundraising and campaigning.
  • Design skills to assist design team.
  • An extensive understanding of life for trans+ adults in the UK and why our work is vital.

 

Salary & Hours

£32,700 pro rata (£18,000)
Permanent, Part-time, 22 hours per week (flexible hours occasional evening and weekend)
