Antidote LGBT Drug and Alcohol Recovery Workers

Location: London - City and Hackney
Closing Date: 30th Sep 2020
Antidote LGBT Drug and Alcohol Recovery Workers

Employment Type: Employed

From October 2020 London Friend will be delivering new substance misuse treatment services in the City of London and Hackney as part of a partnership led by Turning Point with Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest. Our Antidote drug and alcohol service will lead on working with LGBT clients.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Antidote team. Our two Recovery Workers will hold a caseload of LGBT clients, and provide a range of psycho-social drug and alcohol treatment interventions to support their recovery goals. The roles will incorporate a chemsex specialism and work with local sexual health clinics, and support the City and Hackney Partnership in developing LGBT and chemsex competence, as well as supporting Antidote’s London-wide group programmes and walk-in services.

The roles are co-located at London Friend and in the local partnership team, and will involve a considerable amount of outreach in local communities within The City and Hackney. Due to Covid-19 most work will be initially delivered remotely online.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30th September. Interviews will be held via Zoom in early October.
