LGBT HERO is looking for queer people to stand for the Board of Directors. If you are passionate about the work done by LGBT HERO through its brands GMFA and OutLife, this is an opportunity to take part in shaping the organisation’s future.
We are committed to tackling health and social inequalities faced by LGBTQ+ people, including racial justice, trans liberation, and the health and visibility of lesbian and bi women. We want powerful voices from these communities to lead the organisation. We strongly encourage lesbian, bi, and trans people, as well as people from minority backgrounds to apply for the board. From this position you will shape policy, guide our projects, and ensure our work is reaching all LGBTQ+ people.
LGBT HERO provides LGBTQ+ people with accurate and credible information so they can build skills that enable them to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing. We encourage LGBTQ+ people to create social change in our communities by providing a platform where they are heard and valued. This mission is a guiding principle governing all of our work.
If you would like to get a better idea of what the Board is like and how it works or if you have any questions, you are welcome to talk with our CEO, Ian Howley. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org, and he will try to answer any questions you may have.
