Breakout Youth is the leading LGBTQ+ youth services charity in Hampshire and the IOW. Leading the development and delivery of services across the areas of Basingstoke and East Hants, this is an exciting opportunity to work with young people who identify as LGBTQ+ (or questioning)
Breakout Youth are seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Youth Worker to work with a small team of youth workers and volunteers to enable LGBTQ+ young people to access our services. Working across Basingstoke and East Hants, Breakout Youth are seeking to raise awareness of our services and reach as many young people as possible.
The Lead Youth Worker will be responsible for planning and delivering youth groups (currently face to face in Basingstoke and a virtual Hampshire wide group), managing referrals and assessments, delivering one to one work and LGBTQ+ Awareness sessions. The Lead Youth Worker will also supervise the Assistant Youth Worker and volunteers
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people, with lived experience of the LGBTQ+ Community (either as a member of the community or an ally) who is passionate about delivering high quality services and experiences to young people.
This is a full time post (37 hours per week) and is partly funded by the National Lottery
