Spectra CIC is seeking an Independent Health Advocate to work with our trans and non-binary (TNB) service users. If you feel passionately about addressing inequalities and have a mission to support and empower people, we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting new post at Spectra and you will set up and manage a new TNB health advocacy service, with support from Galop. You will maintain an agreed caseload of TNB people who have experienced barriers in accessing health care services, providing people with information, advocacy, and support in an empowerment-based manner, developing relationships with other providers and professionals. You will also provide management support to a trainee advocate once the service is established, who will be someone with lived TNB experience wanting to work in this area.

You will have relevant advocacy qualifications, and experience of using these in a work environment.

Spectra’s services are peer delivered so we encourage applications from people with lived experience in the areas we deliver – LGBTQI+, HIV, BAME.

Spectra is based in Ladbroke Grove, though currently delivering via online platforms and home working is therefore essential, face to face appointments will be offered post Covid-19.

Please complete and return the full application form, including the personal statement, by Noon, 28th February. No CVs please.
Interview date: from 5th March 2021.
